Addo Park House Boat – Maggie May
Our beautiful, rustic house boat floats on the Sundays River, only a 5-minute drive from the Southern Gate of Addo Elephant National Park. Enjoy a unique experience aboard the house boat while taking in beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the upper deck.
The Maggie May House Boat is the biggest house boat on the river at more than 10 metres long and 5 metres wide and is stationed at our jetty at all times. Our guests can request that the boat be moored up or down river at an extra charge.
Our boat offers a double bed in the main bedroom and a king-size couch bed which is made up in the lounge/ kitchen area. The boat is fully equipped for self-catering purposes with a fridge, microwave, gas stove, crockery, cutlery and a small braai (with charcoal supplied). The boat has a convenient caravan-type toilet and shower on board, and for guests would like a little more space, ablution facilities are available at the main premises.
You have access to the whole boat, kitchen, bathroom, upper deck etc. Jetty nearby and river for swimming. Restaurant only 5 minutes walk including Shopping and fuel station & liquor store. Pearson Park Resort is next door and you can access the beach and Addo Marine section through there.
We offer river cruises and Sandboarding adventures from 1.5 hours – 4 hours with all equipment included and a boat ride to the unique Alexandria Coastal Dune field which stretches for a distance of fifty kilometers. Discounted rates. It stretches from Sundays River Mouth to Bushmans River, and is one of the largest existing active coastal dunefields in the world. The Alexandria dunefields cover a total area of one hundred and forty two square kilometers.
